Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This is the personal portfolio website of Victor Kola Omolaiye. It collects the minimum information needed to respond to inquiries and improve the site's content. This page explains what is collected, why, and how to have your data removed.
What I collect
- Contact form submissions. If you use the contact form, your name, email address, and message are stored in the site's database and emailed to me so I can reply. A hidden honeypot field is used to filter spam bots; it is never visible to human visitors.
- Chat widget questions. Questions you ask the on-site AI assistant are logged together with the answers, so I can review and improve answer quality. Please don't share sensitive personal information in the chat.
- Analytics. This site uses Plausible Analytics, a cookie-free, privacy-friendly tool that collects only aggregate usage data (pages visited, referral source, approximate country). No personal data is collected and no cross-site tracking occurs.
- Theme preference. A single cookie remembers your light/dark mode choice. That's the only cookie this site sets.
WhatsApp and booking links
Some pages link to WhatsApp (wa.me) and to my scheduling tool. If you follow those links, your interaction happens on those platforms and is governed by their own privacy policies (Meta's for WhatsApp, Cal.com's for bookings). Messages you send me there are used only to respond to your inquiry and, where relevant, to prepare for a call you requested.
What I never do
- No selling, renting, or sharing of your personal information with third parties for marketing.
- No advertising trackers, pixels, or cross-site profiling.
- No newsletters or follow-up emails you didn't ask for.
Retention and deletion
Contact submissions and chat logs are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and maintain service quality. To see, correct, or delete anything this site holds about you, email victorkolaomolaiye@gmail.com and I'll take care of it promptly.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date.
